Tokyo Day 1

On our first day in Tokyo, we started at Shinjuku Gyoen, one of the largest parks in the city. Although it’s located near the bustling Shinjuku Station, the park offers a peaceful escape from the urban environment. I also learned a lot about how parks can be thoughtfully designed within a dense city. For example, tall evergreen trees are used to screen the surrounding high-rise buildings, creating a more immersive and natural experience.

Our next stop was the Meiji Shrine. It was just a short walk to the entrance, but the path was filled with towering trees that made the stroll feel relaxing. I thought it was really cool how the shrine is still so deeply respected today, and it shows how important it is to preserve historic sites like this.
